Educational Diagnosticians

EASi is looking for talented, dedicated professionals who enjoy assessing students ages three to 21 in a public education setting. Assessment will  be conducted in accordance with P.L. 108-446, the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act of 2004 and in NM Technical Evaluation and Assessment Manual (NM TEAM).

 

Job Description

  • Responsible to and able to respond to your assigned schools (charter, tribal and/or public) as the Educational Diagnostic representative within a timely manner.

  • Review file and information provided by the school and assess referred students (initial and reevaluation) within specified timelines and in compliance with PL 108-446 Individuals with Disabilities Act of 2004 and NM state requirements as outlined in NM Technical Evaluation and Assessment Manual (NM TEAM) for determination of student’s possible need for special education placement.

  • Provide a comprehensive written report of evaluation that clearly outlines test results, including comprehensive interpretation, recommendations and possible eligibility for services.

  • Participate in EDT to determine eligibility for special education services.

  • If needed and requested by the school participate in IEP to determine programing for special education services.

  • Participate in Review of Existing Evaluation Data (REED) to determine need for formal assessment as part of triennial re-evaluation as requested by schools.

  • Comply with all federal mandates, State Board of Education regulations, and school policies for service to the identified special education students.

Qualifications

  • Experience is preferred but not required

  • Must have license or be able to be licensed by the New Mexico Public Education Department as an Educational Diagnostician.
